Ann Smith married William Anderton on 28 July 1783 at St Mary Magdalene-in-the-Bail, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.2

Ann Smith left a will dated 2 December 1833, naming her oldest son James Anderton as sole executor and an heir. Ann's other surviving children were also named as heirs, being listed as Elizabeth Joy, William Anderton, Ann Anderton, Mary Booth and Henry Anderton.3
