John Joy married Elizabeth Anderton, daughter of William Anderton and Ann Smith, on 23 December 1817 at St Luke's Church, Old Street, Finsbury, London, Middlesex.1,2,3 According to Pallot's Marriage Index, John was a widower when he married Elizabeth.
