John Stickland was baptised on 18 May 1794 in Horton, Dorset.1
John was the fourth of seven children. His siblings were Priscilla (bap 1787), Peter (bap 1789), William (bap 1791), Mary (bap 1796), Sarah (bap 1799) and Ann (bap 1803).
John Stickland married Harriot Elizabeth (?) circa 1816. John Stickland and Harriot Elizabeth (?) may have been the couple who married on 21 Jan 1818 at Blandford St Mary. This would give Harriot Elizabeth the surname Galpine.2
In 1826, John was a Hostler.
John Stickland died before 1848.3,4
