George Roffey, son of Robert Roffey and Sarah Ramsay, was born on 7 September 1798 in Bletchingly, Surrey.1,2 He was baptised on 7 October 1798 in Bletchingley, Surrey.2
George was the second of five known children. His siblings were Grace (b 1796), William (b 1800), Robert (b 1803) and Jane (b 1804).
George Roffey married Eliza Harrow, daughter of James Harrow and Mary Lawrence, on 27 March 1826 at St Mary's Church, Newington, Surrey.2
