Agnes Tracey, daughter of Arthur Tracey and Catherine Fox, was born circa 1821 in Ireland.3,4
Agnes was the eldest of six children. Her siblings were Maria (b c1826), Arthur (b c1828), Helen (b c1831), Mary (b c1833) and James (b c1834).
Agnes Tracey married Hugh Devan, son of James Devan and Janet McIndoe, on 26 April 1841 in Inch, Wigtownshire.5,6,4
Agnes Tracey appeared in the 1841 census of Inch, Wigtownshire, at Tonnachrae Farm, in her parents' household. Also listed was her husband of one month, Hugh.3
Agnes and Hugh appeared in the 1851 census of Inch, Wigtownshire, at Kirminnoch Cothouse. Their children James, Arthur and Hugh were listed as living with them.6

Agnes Tracey died on 11 March 1881 in Stranraer, Wigtownshire, at 24 Hanover Square. The cause of death was given as "disease of brain, probably tumour, with ptosis (3 years) and haemorrhage from roof of mouth, fourth attack in three months."2
