Christopher Brandis, son of Thomas Brandis and Martha Walker, was born circa 1748 in Adderbury, Oxfordshire.2 He was baptised on 23 June 1749 in Adderbury, Banbury, Oxfordshire.1
Christopher was the eldest of seven children. His siblings were Sarah (b 1750, d 1751), John (b 1753, d 1754), Ann (b and d 1755), Anna Maria (b and d 1756), Bett (b 1758) and Ann (b 1760, d 1838).
Christopher Brandis married Ann Small, daughter of William Small and Bridget (?), on 28 October 1773 in Wylye, Wiltshire.1
Christopher Brandis died on 4 August 1774 in Wylye, Wiltshire.2 He is commemorated on his father's headstone in Adderbury. The inscription reads as follows:
